I would like to know if the competition was recorded for Television and if it will be broadcasted in Canada?

Unfortunately not, however, the final of Britain’s Strongest Man will be broadcast on Channel 5 sometime in September I believe. “Five” have recently launched a play-on-demand service at http://demand.five.tv/ so it may be worth keeping an eye on that.

I’m possibly going to enter this competition in the novice category next year. It’ll be my first strong man competition. It would be good to see what weights were lifted in some of the events to see what standard I need to get to by next year. Can anybody help?

Hi Geoff. Your best bet would be to join one of the discussion forums listed on this site. All the guys are eager to help new comers and can point you in the right direction with regards to training and events. For the South West you might want to check out Devon Strongman first!
